1965 Vespa SS180- Professionally Restored SS 180 VSC Vehicle Description 1967 Vespa SS180 VSC- in the USA specification model. Round Headlight. p>Here we have a Original Vespa Super Sport SS 180 (No Vietnam-Indonesia-India bike here!) SCOOTER SHOWS 1, 625 miles on the clock. I would say this is not correct.. Speedo and Odometer both work scooter seems to have more miles then that… Imported to America by the Vespa of America corporation. In 1967 The SS180 was the predecessor to the GS range, introduced in late 1964. It is, for many, the pinnacle of a mid-sixties Vespa. It had advanced 60s styling (trapezoid headlight), (This is a 1967 USA specification that came with a ROUND HEADLIGHT.) angular panel lines, and an updated, quick 180cc piston-ported motor that was based on the sports model GS160. It is best known for superior style and outstanding performance (65 mph stock!). A complete SS180 in any state is a rare bike, very collectible on today’s market. It stops great, and rides very well. The Super Sport models were well known for their superior suspension and braking, over other models from the same time period. Frame: HAS BEEN RESPRAYED IN A FLAT BLUE 10 YEARS AGO AT LEAST, This is NO SHOW paint ....Paint JOB its OK ....no RUST.. Very Straight body. The Gas tank was dipped and lined with new fuel tap and hardware .. SIEM rear taillight Is Plastic after market this model cam with the MICKY MOUSE style tail Lamp ..We do not have this.. headlight, tail/brake light, and all turn signals work properly. ALL ELECTRICAL WORKS
We do have the Original spare tire cover and spare RIM and Tire.. Not shown with the scooter , but comes with the Auction . ENGINE: Completely rebuilt engine - MATCHING Original engine cases, That came with the scooter from the Factory. new SS 180 Mazzuchelli crank, replaced shifting cross, bearings, seals, clutch corks/washers/springs, gasket sets, rebuilt carburetor, new brake shoes, Point and Condenser. conversion, for bright lights). The cylinder has a Had a HONE and new rings were applied. Has nice compression and a SOLID scooter feel. Accelerates and drive smooth ..The engine has no Welds or repairs. This scooter starts and runs well..
