Honda Elsinore MR50, MR 50
Vehicle Description
You are bidding on a 1975 Honda Elsinore MR50. This is a great little bike. My son just race it on Nov. 1st in a pit bike 50cc class race and got 2nd place. I also raced it in an adult class (I didn't do so well). Thats the only time it has been raced since I've own it. I bought the bike for my sons 4th birthday. He has since moved on and started racing a KTM 65. When I bought the bike 4 1/2 years ago, I had it gone over by a local honda shop. At this time ,the following was done to the bike: CARB REBUILD(new seals and gaskets), NEW TIRES and TUBES(front and rear), NEW CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, NEW CABLES(clutch and throttle), NEW THROTTLE TUBE(on the handlebars). It has only been ridden a total of 5-10 hours since.
As for the condition of the bike. It is in good condition. The seat has some minor cracks due to age. The paint has some scratches, and the tank has a minor dent(see pics below), again due to age. But over all the bike is in good shape. I had plans of giving it a new paint job and hanging it in the game room from the ceiling but the BOSS(wife) said NO. I really hate to sell this old bike. I had one myself growing up and I guess thats why I bought it for my son. But like I said, He's moved on to a bigger and faster bike and needs the money to buy a new KTM.
I also have some extra parts I will give to the buyer as I will have no need for them. They include: NEW SHOCK SEAL(still in the package), EXTRA TANK, ONE SPARE SHOCK(rear), EXTRA REAR FRAME, THE ORIGINAL THROTTLE TUBE, and maybe some other misc. parts if I find any. These are all things I bought after I bought the bike and never needed them.
These old Elsinores are sought after by collectors and really get the looks at the track. I had alot of guys tell me thats what they had when they were kids or "that was what I started racing with".
The pictures I'm including were taken at the track on November 1st, 2008. They are the only one I had readily available. I can Email more pictures if asked. Just email me and I'll be glad to send them right out. THANKS FOR LOOKING
Buyer is responsible for shipping costs, But I can disassemble the bike and ship it in 3 seperate boxes if needed.
Check out my other items!
