Vehicle Description
Very nice 1983 Yamaha Vmax 540 Snowmobile. Runs and looks great. I purchased this sled a couple years ago from an ebayer that had it in storage for 3 years following a fresh rebuild. Upon obtaining it, I went through the whole thing. I've put approximately 300 miles on it over the past few winters and it has runs strong with no hiccups. It is clean and ready to ride. Track is in good shape with studs. Hood is in very nice with just a few a small cracks over the struts. Skis are nice with typical wear. Right ski has a slight dent that can easily be knocked back down. Seat is perfect with original Yamaha Logo. Original suspension has been upgraded to an 87 Exciter suspension. Due the history of these sleds having oil pump problems, it has been switched to premix. The sled has approximately 3500 miles on it and it is evident by it's condition. The guage shows high miles, but that is because it is a replacement guage (not the actual pod) because of an original malfunction. I can not think of much that has to be done to this sled. Maybe some minor clutch adjustments and shims in the skis, but that is about it. It is very nice and in rare condition for its age. I've seen a lot of these sleds over the years and most have not compared to the condition of this one. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I will gladly share with you what I can.
