1986 Honda Spree NQ50 Moped Scooter Honda NQ 50
Vehicle Description
You are bidding on a 1986 Honda Spree NQ50 moped/scooter. We bought this to drive back and forth to work for 2 months during summer break. Now that school started, we don't need it anymore. It is used and has 8487 miles on it. We bought it when it had about 7800 miles on it. It gets great gas mileage. Approximate mileage is around 90 MPG. It has electric start as well as a manual kick start. Both work, although the kick start sticks a little at times. I haven't used it much.
All lights and turn signals work except low beam headlight. I leave it on high beam so other vehicles can see me coming down the road. The horn works fine also. The brakes work fine.
There is no title for it since Indiana does not require a title for scooters under 50cc. The actual engine size as rated by the manufacturer is 49.9cc.
The recommended top speed is 25MPH (although it will go faster, I usually didn't take it faster).
Here is the listing of the parts that were put into it after I bought it...
A new petcock valve (which is the valve on the bottom of the gas tank, it also included the gas filter that goes inside the tank)
A new spark plug
A new high voltage coil (this feeds the spark plug)
A new air filter.
Alone these parts were over $100.
I also completely cleaned the carburetor using professional strength carburetor cleaner.
The scooter runs great now!
