2006 Skidoo Factory Mod 800**Full Trail Conversion**

You are looking at a rare 2006 factory mod sled. This sled was sold by the skidoo race department to a large race team in southern VT as a rolling chassis...no engine. This is not your average 440 ZX race sled that has been converted for trail use, the chassis was hand built by the race department with a completely different long travel tunnel...look a the pics closely and you will see the difference.
The sled was raced for one and a half seasons as a 600 mod before I purchased it last fall. The tunnel is built deeper than the typical X chassis for added clearence. The rest of the chassis has all the renforcment and bells and whistles of a race sled, including the beefed up motor mount, Team secondary, slipper gear, superior brake system, 1 3/4" lug track with 96 studs, 9 tooth extrovert drivers, full race suspension including titanium springs, and a light weight seat.
I bought a mint 04 MXZ 800 REV Adrenaline with 3300 miles for a donor sled to convert the mod into a trail sled. I used the engine, wiring, gauges, headlight, hood and side panels, full length cooler, 10 gallon fuel tank, oil tank, spare idler wheels, and all handlebar controls from the donor sled.
The 800 engine was freshened with an RkTek duel ring drop in pistons and head kit...a gain of 15-20 hp according to RkTek, and a set of V-Force reeds. I also installed an Avenger RacePak EGT gauge that also displays a digital rpm to aid in dialing in clutching. The seat had to be custom built to fit over the 10 gallon tank, but is very comfortable. I also replaced the kill switch, and left side multifunction switch with new ones after having problems with them half way through the season.
The sled has all the options of a trail sled, with a full out race package at the same time. Fuel mileage remains very good due to the RkTek pistons and head kit. I started at 440 mains and ended up at 380's with a bit more piston wash than perfect to be on the safe side.
The seat has one very small hole I couldnt even get to show in a pic. The track also has one bad spot on an outside edge, but should be fine to run at least another season. These conversions are very expensive...I have almost 9k into this one.

Upper and lower balljoints were replaced during the conversion.
Rear skid was also gone through...replaced the bushings/bearings as needed
