Mini Bike Chopper Project Rigid Frame 5 H.P Get It Now!
Vehicle Description
Started to gather parts to build a chopper mini bike (to bring to the Horse Smoke Out) but just dont have the time to complete. Frame is unknown manufacturer - needs to be rewelded in some areas and gussets added. As you can see from the picture it has a enormous rear wheel off of ?. Front end, gas tank and seat is off an old Kawasaki donor dirt bike and the stem needs to be cut and rewelded to fit correctly. The motor is a (I believe) a 5 H.P. Tecumseh which I have never tried to start. The parts in the box come with the bike (it was going to have a shock mounted rear fender and seat) and there are some other parts laying around in there that you may or may not use as well. What you see in the picture is what you get. Local pickup only!!!
11-22-08 Hmmm - 2 days this has been listed on e-bay and I figured hell, for a buck someone will bid on it (It cost me $3.85 for the ad so selling it for a buck I am losing $2.85.) Should I reduce the price to 99 cents? 50 cents? a Quarter? Hmmm - go figure. Actually, if you count the gas I used to drive up to East Bum*%#k to get it you could add another $20 so now that I think about it, if I sell it for a buck I am really taking a $23.85 loss. In any case, I would hate to take this beauty to the dump (although as soon as I got there I know it would be snatched by the vultures) but I mean hey, come on fellas, is the economy really that bad? Do things (and life) really suck as much as it appears? This is a redundant question becasue yes, it does suck out there (at least for my business) so I already know the answer to that. But I mean hey, I bet you could get your kid to panhandle a buck to buy this baby. Let him panhandle another 5 bucks and take a ride to Connecticut to pick it up (assuming you dont live in Yuma Arizona) and NO - I will not pack it up and ship it to you. Nice father son winter in the garage to stay away from the old lady project which actually might be a good bonding experience for you and your kid (mine did) and for about $50-$75 in parts (clutch, chain and you gotta figure out a rear brake system) you have a cool fat assed rear tire mini chopper. Also, spending some time teaching your kid (him/her) how to swear, fetch beers, turn a wrench, grind, weld (like I said it does need some gussets here and there), paint, get your hands dirty and be even somewhat mechanically inclined is a plus for entering the "real world"! In todays day and age of kids who sit in front of the TV playing video games or are on the computer getting brain rot have no idea what reality is in the real world. Wouldn't it be nice to know that if you kid got stuck in the middle of the Sahara desert with a flat tire and the only way out was if he could change the tire - he or she could because you took on this project? Not like some "mechanically challenged" never been subjected to the real world clone who can't change a lightbulb or put in 1 screw with making a trip to the emergency room (like my brother Marc - if he picks up a hammer - call 911) Well, I'm done ranting and raving - so, come on - it's only a buck - and think of all the cool new biker friends you will make - and how easy it will be for you to pick up chicks - or how you can get to Stinky's house before all of the others on your new ride. And maybe, yes maybe, if you do real good on this one and get good grades, Mom and Dad will get the old basket case Triumph Project in your uncle Bernie's garage!
11-23-08 - Holy Smokes Batman - still no bids! You couldn't buy a 5 HP motor for a buck at a friggen tagsale! What is going on here? I see the human vultures at the recycling center in my future! Maybe I'll just put it out in front of my house with a big free sign. If no one takes it, then I'll put a $25 for sale sign on it and someone will steal it for sure!
11-24-08 Well, I changed the heading to No Reserve. Not that a buck is an outrageous price for a minibile nor is it a bad deal, I figure maybe this will generate more interest. As usual, someone wants me to ship it to Michigan. Not that I mind spending 2 hours finding boxes and packing it up - it's just a pain and for a buck, I'm not doing it.Now - if you want to pay my hourly rate ($65.00) for 2 hours - plus tape and anything else I might need to get it there in one piece - plus the shipping then we can talk (OK Guy in Michigan - theres your answer). So if you get it for a buck and it goes to MI or someplace else, add $350 for shipping an handling. For $350 - you could drive here and back on less gas than that! Maybe there will be a bidding war! (NOT) And by the way, If you use this as a vehicle for the Horse BC minibile burnout contest - it's free.
